Richard Hamilton is about as neat as they come. At 105-years-old, he still makes his bed, goes on walks and can whip out a quality one-liner like no other. I truly enjoyed the few times I got to spend with him, laughing, learning and carrying on. A lucky for me, he can also still take one adorable photo. Wouldn’t you agree? I recently traveled with some friends to Germany for a week. I brought back some steins, a love of German food and a few photos. Danke!

Ring by Spring
Posted in Uncategorized on May 22, 2009 by jillnanceOur big student life piece this year on Liberty University was about the trend of how many LU students get hitched before they have their diploma or even of drinking age. And as the saying goes, “ring by spring or your money back!” I know better then to ever think that this is the majority of students’ thoughts but it is still an interesting story on some student’s perspective on the issue. Read the story here! One of the students I photographed was Kelly and Tony D’Ambrosio. These two were the most delightful pair and I loved being able to photograph a little bit of their wedding. Here are some of my favs.

Times must be hard at The News & Advance, for the editors let me write again! It was such a pleasure spending the day with Mildred, a long time volunteer with the Red Cross. She was so kind and extremely witty. I loved being able to tell about her in not only pictures, but words. Go ahead and check out my second byline here.

Lynchburg loves them some Phil
Posted in Uncategorized on April 3, 2009 by jillnance
We hardly ever/never have concerts in Lynchburg besides the typical lone guy with his guitar in the corner of a coffee shop or the middle aged rock band playing too loud in a smoky bar. So when we do have a bigger name come our way, the whole city goes a little crazy. This time they went especially wild over Lynchburg native, Phil Vassar. It was quite the time watching him perform (he was quite dynamic) and watching Lynchburg get a little rowdy underneath the moving lights.
