I photographed Kim and Jack Fuhrmann along with their seven children last summer on their farm in Gretna. When I look through the photos, I still sense the peace and love felt on this family’s farm. Their genuine hospitality and great faith is apparent to anyone who enters their property. They are first generation farmers who are learning as they go and offering their children a simpler way of life. To hear their story and see more photos, click here.

Recently the city shut down the streets and allowed for a street fair full of vendore, street performers and entertainment. It was like I was transported to another place and time. I am proud of Lynchburg, the little city that could.
